Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Britain. She played lead guitar for The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of females in the late 1970s. Their punkish music and rebellious lyrics got them recognized by the rock world. The group wasn't successful within their home country of the United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career following the split of her group in 1979. She started taking voice lessons before releasing her debut album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford was unable to achieve any success with either record and remained out of the realm of rock for about 10 years. In 1988, Ford returned to the music scene with an amazing album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. Sadly, her fame was short-lived and she remained absent from the industry for several years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later it was back in the spotlight. The year was 2016, and her latest album'Time Capsule' was released. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
